Soleil: Beautiful!!! WOW! Completely agree with you on suede linings -- love them!

Would someone please look at this patent elise?

http://cgi.ebay.ca/NWT-MARC-JACOBS-Q...QQcmdZViewItem

The leather looks pretty good. But other than that, can't tell whether it's a fake or not. How much did the patent elise retail for?

Cherriejubilee, Patent Elise retails for $1050USD + tax (if applicable).
Some of us here (me included) have this bag, I can try to compare mine to it. The pictures are so blurry, I can't see much; the 1st picture looks good -- can see the wrinkley texture on the leather. Maybe you can ask for better pictures?

Hi thithi & bag.lover,
Yes I did go for it! I hope the color is pretty IRL...I love purple so I couldn't resist and the price was decent for brand new. I'm still trying to find out when this color came out? Any ideas?
Thanks again for your kind words

Acegirl, the seller of the first listing (Spearmint MP) is also selling an authentic ButterScotch Stella LE. Owners of Large MP, what do you think? =)

I just bought a peacock blue sophie from Saks and the blue is quite different. Also, I had someone in the Coach forum authenticate a bag from this seller and they advised me it was fake. I would stay away from this seller.

Congrats again, it's a great price for a new Blake. Yours is the same color as Soleil's Blake right? You will love it, keep us updated. =)

Violet looks nice too.

The official color is "maroon" believe it or not
It is gorgeous!

It is from Fall 2004, which was the official release season of the Blake.
There was one pre-Fall Blake released in Pomegranate,
exclusive to Bloomingdales.

Oooops, please only post authenticity questions in the Authenticate This! sticky.
Since the thread is getting old now, I'll merge it this time, usually we just close them.
Thanks!

Thank you very much! I have finally learned its official color name! "Maroon" meaning it is more reddish than purplish? I really appreciate knowing what year/season it is from.
So sorry Swanky...thank you for moving the thread to its right place.

It is definitely purple, not red or maroon. They also released 'eggplant' in the east/west collection the same season, so maybe they wanted to make sure they were really different names. Not sure, but this really was his most not true to color name ever

I went back to the website to admire your bag again but it's gone now. Please post pictures when you get it so all can admire once again!
