Hi everyone. I am in the fence about the Cabas Rivington. I have read some comments here that a lot of TPFers feel that it looks too much like the NF and it costs way too much. Other than these two observations, what else can you share to help me?

To those who own the bag, is it hard to fish your stuff out?

I love my Cabas Rivington!!!
I feel that it is a much classier bag than the NF. Of course that is a personal opinion!!
I find it very user friendly and carries much more than I had expected. I loved the unique look of the bag when I first saw it and you don't run into people carrying it everywhere you turn.
It is sturdier, the straps don't hurt, it contains your things better.
I bought 2 other DE bags and returned them before I purchased the Cabas. Should have bought her to start with!!

Thank you! Do you find that one strap tends to fall off your shoulder? Is it difficult to take things out?

i love the cabas rivington, and think it's way nicer than the neverfull. however, i don't own one, have only tried it on in the store, because honestly, i feel it's overpriced for being a "tote." it's double the price of a neverfull. why?

I love mine. I know a little overpriced; but it is so classy and chic. I do not have issues with straps and taking my stuff out but. I compared it side by side with NF and I made a decision in a matter of seconds. Good luck. Let us know what you decide. :)

It is not difficult to get things out of, it has a top clasp and when opened it is easy to find and reach your items. I can get my Zippy out when the clasp is closed as well. So,no problem for me at all.
It does not slide off my shoulder either.... i travel for work and fly...alot...so that has been a test for me. No problem. I think that some people have more trouble with straps sliding than others do, because of their body type. I have no problem with my totally sliding either.
The bag is almost double the price of the NF. So If you want a LV item at lowest cost, the Cabas Rivington is not the bag for you.
I chose it because of it's looks and function.
It is much more structured than the NF, it will not fall over, your items are much more secure than in the NF, it was a good size for me and the side zipper made me drool!
I couldn't be happier.
LV makes so many great bags because all of us have different needs and wants. I don't think there is one perfect bag for everyone.
I personally dislike the speedy!! I'm not a hand carry gal and that bag would drive me nuts!
So look at all the options and think it through. Choose the right bag for YOU and go for it!! It doesn't matter if it is anyone else's favorite. It just needs to be yours!

I had this bag when it first came out and thought it was really pretty with the side zippers zipped up, didn't like the look of when the zippers were down and the bag was more open. Felt like I lost a some room in the bag when the zippers were up, thought, and that there was a waste of all that canvas when the zippers were up, which kind of bugged me. I think right now as I am carrying less that it would have worked out for me with the less space in there, but before I thought that it was just too tight with the zippers up, so I had parted with it. I haven't regretted that too much, but it was a pretty bag.

Thank you bagluv4ever. I kinda noticed that too when I tried it on in store. What do the others think about this bag?

I love the look of the Cabas Rivington, especially with the sides zipped up. I have no issues with the straps falling off. Over time, the one negative for me is the lack of space and awkwardness of reaching in when the sides are zipped up. The zipped up sides do take up a considerable chunk of interior room in the bag. I found myself having to stack my things in it, including my long wallet. That is my one complaint about it, but I generally carry bigger bags. So it might not be an issue if you don't carry a lot of things.
