I have that happen when I go to the baseball park. I usually have to hold my bag on my shoulder. Now, when I go shopping, I try to find a stall with a hook. If I can't find a hook I try to find another restroom. If that ain't possible, then I do the shoulder thing too. I hate when that happens!

It is too funny how alike we all are! I can't bear the thought of my bags touching any floor!!!

I would wear the bag while going. If the washroom is nasty and gross, I won't even go. I cannot bear to carry such an expensive bag to such an unsanitary place and hang it somewhere, god knows what will happen if it does!

This is why I love the Macy's restrooms, always so tidy and clean. The JCPenny's restrooms are icky!

Lol in that case, I either set it on the TP holder if it's flat and my bag is small, or just leave it on my arm.

I try to avoid public restrooms, but if I must go, I will usually ask DH or friend to hold it for me. Urk! :P

I don't think I have ever put my bag down on a bathroom floor ~ even when I bought cheaper ones.
I am not much of a "bag babier" ~ but the floors in public bathrooms are just too much.
This is when a pochette is great ~ it's right there on your shoulder, but not in the way.

And here I thought I was the only one...

I have tried them all. But when I am alone... my most favorite is when I throw it around my neck, all the while glad that "Candid Camera" isn't around anymore. And sometimes DH gets to look stylish.

Like some other posters I do the hang 'my bag around my neck thing', I can't bring myself to put any bag on a bathroom floor or unsanitary surface whether its LV or $10 bag!

I ask for mom or a friend to hold my bag. Never do I place my bag on the floor. In some cases I have pushed myself to hold it till I got home, esp. when I go to the mall alone

I have done it lol.
But if I am with someone I usually ask them if they would hold my bag whilst I went to the restroom.

I have a purse hook too! Comes in handy especially when dining alfresco with patio tables and such.

As for any public washroom I try to not let ANYTHING of mine touch anything of theirs. This includes pantlegs, purses, skin, shopping bags...etc. So I'm usually in there with my pants down, pantlegs scrunch up in my hands, while securing my hand-held-handbag clenched under my chin, shopping bags if any in my armpits...all at the same time looking around to make sure everything is not touching. (Don't get me started when the TP dispenser doesn't ripp the TP properly when I am in this state.) Whew...its an ordeal.

I actually have a whole routine for public washroom usage but that's a whole other thread topic....

I hope this wasn't too much info.

I have smooth plastic stroller "S" hooks that pivot in the center so I can hang it on the bathroom door hook without putting dents into my vachetta. It's called Stroll'r Swivel'rs by Kel-Gar. They are cute, they fold up into a little circle.

The thing is to keep one in each of your bags so you never forget to bring them. I found myself w/o one at Target's restroom late in the day (yucks) and was kicking myself. I improvised with a empty toilet paper roll and laid that over the door hook.
