Default It sucks that the amarante color is truly only pretty when the light hits
It sucks that the amarante color is truly only pretty when the light hits.

in just regular times, the amarante just looks like dark dark eggplant. but only on times when it hits the sun--- it's this gorgeous eggplant w/ red specks and shimmer.

Does this bother anyone else? Kinda like a waste to get amarante?

I didn't think much of amarante when I first saw it online but when I was in the boutique WOW was it beautiful. With the lighting in there I could see the shimmer but all I could think of was that it wouldn't be pretty in most lighting plus all the fingerprints that everyone here has complained about.

i think that's the beauty and uniqueness of amarante - in certain lights it looks black, in certain lights it's dark eggplant, when light hits it looks really pretty purple...the color is so 3-dimensional and rich. i wouldn't like it at all if it was just one single flat color.

I have the Summit Drive in Amarante and dearly love it! I constantly get compliments when I carry her.

Yes, it is true it looks different depending upon the lighting, but IMHO, it is a GORGEOUS and UNIQUE color!

I don't own anything in the larger pieces, but it's just such a beautiful surprise on the smaller items especially like on the French purse, or even the Cles! The cles is like WOW!

The amarante is gorgeous! I have NO regrets with my zippy. I hope and pray that one day the Speedy will be available in amarante.

I'm sorry you feel the amarante is only pretty in the light. :( I guess if you don't love it in all lights, then maybe it is not the color for you.
I feel that the amarante sometimes takes on a really dark, sultry look in dim lighting ande then just pops in the sun. Love both looks.

I hear you about the amarante... But I still think it's the most gorge vernis color! I really want the Susnset Blvd. It'll make a great evening bag!

Do all the vernis colors get fingerprints on them easily?

No regrets about Amarante for me. I have the Vernis Alma MM and I love everything about it.

I don't dislike the color without light hits... I think that's what makes amarante the most interesting color in the whole line.

I feel like it's still pretty even in regular lighting.. sure in sunlight (or just better lighting in general) it REALLY sparkles, but I feel it's still a showstopper :)

I agree! I think it's beautiful because it has so many different aspects to it, and I think it's beautiful even when it's not directly in the light.
