I have been in and out of tons of threads and am getting so sick of people nit picking everything on their bags. " the zipper isn't perfectly straight" "the design is a millimeter uneven" "the handles are barley noticeably unaligned" it goes on and on. These bags are never going to be made 100% "perfect" every single time. More often then not other members can't even distinguish the issue in the pictures the poster is leaving. If you are going to be so insanely picky over your bag DO NOT walk out of the boutique until you have looked over everything. I don't want to buy a bag that someone purchased and took home, put their hands all over and possibly even used, then decided it was flawed and returned it. I'm sure I'll get the common argument that " I pay a lot of money for my bag and it should be perfect" ya, whatever, make sure it's perfect before you purchase it. Sorry, just had to rant : ) and this doesn't apply to those who purchase their bags online , you don't have the option to see your bag first : )

Hmmm, are you certain the bag you take home hasn't been handled? Or do you request a fresh, newly delivered bag from the factory?
I mean I hear your rant and I agree to an extent. Some members who start the threads you speak of usually just want assurance that their bag is as it should be....alignment, stitching, zippers, etc. This forum is for sharing our Lvoe and knowledge of LV. I for one don't mind or tire when another member inquires in earnest if the bag they chose is normal.
I'm not picking an argument with you, just offering a different perspective.

If a thread doesn't interest me, I stop reading it. People can post and read what they choose, and we should all be respectful of that.

Circumstances are different for everyone! I recently had this problem when I bought my HG bag last wknd and it had the blue sticky thing on the plate and when I got home and took it off I discovered the plate was crooked. I didnt want to take the sticky off in the store because if i decided that i wasnt taking the bag then someone else would get it and it could get scratched in the mean time. If people buy a bag then take them home and change their mind about the bag completely then that's not good! They should have taken time before going into the store to decide what is the best bag for them.

New zippy needs reglazeing ?? : (

A lot of people have these questions, just like in this thread you started above. That's exactly what this forum is for. I agree you should inspect an item before you buy but sometimes things are overlooked.

I agree with the OP. She's just saying check your items thoroughly before leaving the store. I don't think that's ridiculous. If you're OCD take more time in the store and make sure it's "perfect."

Lol at making a thread complaining about people complaining.

Seriously though... sometimes these things are overlooked. People get caught up in their moment at the boutique or something comes up. These things happen. Whilst some of the 'flaws' that are brought up here I know I'd personally have never noticed in a million years, other flaws shouldn't have made it to a customer in the first place and yes, perhaps said customer should have checked their item better, but that's still no reason for them to be stuck with a defective product. Returns and exchanges happen everywhere - it's a part of shopping - and it follows that if you don't want a bag that someone's potentially had their hands all over, it's your responsibility to check the bag you're purchasing thoroughly as well.

Just playing devil's advocate and offering another side of the story. I'd take a bag from out the back over a display piece any day.

Other people are taking this far too much to heart. It's one thing if there is something seriously noticeable or wrong with your bag it's another if you need to meticulously inspect it to find the slightest issue. I just recently purchased a zippy that had little to no glazing that was all coming off and the canvas had cracked in a corner too. The wonderful members of this forum informed me that that was not how it should be and it was exchanged at the boutique and I hope they didn't plan on reselling it!
