Default Need Recommendation for a LV "diaper bag"

Hi Ladies (and Gents)...

I need some feedback from my fellow LVoers.

I just purchased a Tivoli PM and I am so in LVOE!

However, my "problem" is I'm 6 months pregnant - so in 3 months I will definitely need a bigger bag. I've completely outgrown diaper bags having used them for the last 3 years (I have a 2 and 3 year old)... so I want something that looks great but is practical for what I need.

Earlier this year I bought the Neverfull GM - thinking this would make a GREAT diaper bag - but it was just too big and too heavy when full of stuff (seriously my back, neck, and shoulders hurt afterwards). Maybe the Neverfull MM - but I'm not "in LVoe" with it if you know what I mean.

I'm taking a liking to the Batignolles Horizontal - but I'm a bit concerned with shoulder carrying - aside from weight - shoulder bags nearly always fall off my shoulders (I have a slightly sloped shoulder).

I'm also in LVOE with the Damier Speedy 30. It looks awesome - my mom and sister hate it - but I think it's HOT! Do you ladies think I could pull this off as a "diaper" bag?

I personally don't carry much with me - LV porte tresor wallet, gucci sunglasses (case), cell phone, and keys. As for baby things - I would carry about 2-3 diapers, a wipes case, change of clothes, and maybe 1-2 more small things.

What do you all think?!?

Would a Speedy 35 work better? My SA told me they are coming out with the Damier 35 in September!?!

Thanks in advance - you all rock!

Doesn't LV have a Mini-lin diaper bag? I will see if I can find pics.

I do recall seeing this LV diaper bag... but in all honesty - I just don't want another "diaper" bag. I was hoping I could find a classic LV bag that I could convert to be used as my diaper bag - without being so obvious.

I don't carry bottles and all that stuff - just the bare essentials.

I suggested this in another thread: a Neverfull GM or a Palermo GM. Both big enough in sizes to carry your stuff and baby's! A Speedy 35 is nice, but it might get a bit annoying being a handheld bag with a little baby, at least the NF or Palermo are shoulder bags.

How about the Hampstead MM in either Ebene or Azur?

how about montogueil gm. I just bought one to use it as diaper bag/purse.
love the practicality and convenience. but i am little concerned about the look.
i think it looks more like a travel bag than handbag.

I have considered the Palermo - although I think the PM size might actually work for me... I'm not a "big bag" kind of gal, even with all the baby stuff - I'm a minimalist. =) I did purchase the Neverfull GM earlier this year but this was just way too big and when full of stuff - the shoulder straps dug into my shoulder and caused my back/neck to hurt...

That's an excellent suggestion I never even considered. I really prefer the ebene damier over the azur - especially since baby will be arriving in October... I will definitely check that model out the next time I'm at my LV boutique! THANKS!

The Montogueil GM would work excellent too... I was fond of the style the first time I had seen it - but when I was in the boutique I noticed the PM and wasn't too fond of it in person... but tpf'er Spinky posted pictures of her wearing the PM and it looks quite cute and casual. The GM is just the right size to be used as a diaper bag/purse combo! Thanks for the suggestion - I'll add that to my list to check out in the boutique! =)

Another vote for the Hampstead MM. I am in the same boat as you...I have three children under 7 and want something to hold some things for them (diapers, wipes, snack) but also can be used as an adult bag when they aren't with me. This bag (after much looking into) seems like the best solution with the snaps to adust the size. I had the mono neverfull MM and just didn't like it for an "adult bag" as I thought the straps made it look kind of sloppy. Good luck...

I was just going to ask that question about the bottles and such....ok in that case I would go with the Neverful. Because I had twins there was NO WAY their stuff would fit in anything LV except may be a Speedy 40 but that was the furthest thing from my mind at the time. Congrats!

How about a Vavin GM? Thats what I used. Its large enough to put things in and the fact that it has that side pocket where can actually put a babys bottle in there nicely. Just my opinion.

I definitely don't recommend the mini lin..I had that and it was so heavy by itself without ANYTHING in it!! Needless to say, I sold it.
I've been think of Neverfull Gm but am a bit concerned about the straps hurting too...
Haven't thought of the Monty GM...
Hampstead seems like a good idea for you since you don't carry that much..but I carry bottles in a cooler so I need a BIG bag~
good luck!

i had the same dilemma! i bought the neverfull gm before my daughter was born and found out afterwards that it's just too big and hurt to carry when there's heaps of stuff in it. i still love it though

this is probably getting too much into detail but do you plan to breastfeed? when i had my first, i didn't bf so i carried a massive bag (bottles, formula, hot water, diapers etc)... but i did with my second and the neverfull was too bulky.. so i got the mini lin saumur and i LOVE it!! it has 2 sections... one for me and one for bub... its awesome!

now i'm looking for (hehe.. yup i have a slight addiction) a bag that has both arm handles and a shoulder strap... looking at the neo cabby mm.. the palermo pm.. or the mini lin croisette marina.. have you looked at any of these?
