I'm also planning to get an all vachetta bag but I will protect the leather from rain spots with the products used by docride on Hermes VN bags that is also untreated leather. You could ask in docride's leather care thread over at the Hermes forum in Reference section.

Congrats! I would spray something on it, there are places like Margarites (La Jolla, CA) that water proof bags, you might want to look into that. Good luck and enjoy your gorgeous bag.

OMG, it's gorgeous and will be even more with age! But right now the light vachetta would give me a nervous breakdown! Congrats and good luck!

So pretty!! Contact docride......she is an EXPERT with all vachetta bags and she has a very specific formula for protecting all vachetta bags and it makes them GORGEOUS!

I'd say just use it, and if anything happens then that's when it's time to find some protection for it.

thanks everyone- i will definitely contact docride.
i used her treatment on my kelly ( the one in my current avatar), it is vache naturale. i just haven't used the kelly much. to structured and formal for my life.

i still think i may just use the noe for a while and see what happens. i have a friend with a natural leather bag and she never treated it. any spots or marks just eventually blended in. i hope my bag will end up looking half as good as hers.

maybe i'll go to lv on 5th ave and ask them for their advice.
