My parents are generous too. My Dad lent me his Lexus RX 300 to use, for as long as it takes for him to get his doctor's okay to drive again
Thanks, True :) I'm hoping not to have to replace the car yet, I don't want to have to take on a car payment, or get a car not as nice as mine, you know?

I'm sorry, Greek, I hope you recover quickly It's good to know you're keeping an eye on it though. Keep us posted, ok?

True, hope you and your family are well.

Angie, I'm sure you'll check in around 12pm. How's Lola? Still in her Elmo costume?

Caroline, any updates on your car?

Lindy, the temperature has been dropping here since Sunday. Hopefully we can send some of this cool air your way.

Addy, how are your patiants doing?
Morning, Greek. As of today the car is getting looked at at the dealership. I got a call this morning from the guy saying that he had someone test drive the car and it isn't making the noise anymore, and I told him I know, it stopped making it after I had it looked at the first time, but I still want it to be looked at since the other place said it might be a valve problem and that could be very serious. He got all confused as though they couldn't check it if the noise wasn't there anymore! So annoying! If I want you to check out my valves to make sure they're in working order then just do it! Who cares if you can't hear the stupid noise anymore? Uggggggggggg

Hahaha I like feisty Caroline.

I agree. What does he mean he can't check it if it isn't making noise? That's like a doctor saying "you're not dying so I can't give you a check up" Brilliant!

Keep us posted with any developments

Hi, Greek: I hope you are better . It must be tough to be so publicly-exposed as a part of your job during flu season. I hear you can catch H1N1 even from 10 feet away. Hugs and prayers for your quick recovery.

Hello, Caroline: I feel for you, sweetie. I hate being around mechanics. Can DF deal with these guys on your behalf? I think that some mechanics tend not to take a woman seriously, kwim?
I am glad DH found a great, and honest car mechanic close to his job. The only negative is he's over 30 miles away from our house.

Hi True! Sorry I missed you but hopefully you'll be around again soon.

I'm sooo bored at home! Daytime tv is so addictive. But everything good is on at the same time. Goodmorning America/Today, Racheal Ray/Wendy Williams, The View/Mathra Stweart. I was flipping between all those from 9-12 lol Now Who Wants to be a Milionaire is on and I'm only watching for Merideth Vierra <3

But nothing is on after that. What gives?

And God bless the witches of Eastwick - I mean, the ladies of the View. I couldn't understand a word they were saying but boy were they entertaining.

Yes, being so public makes getting sick easy. In fact, I was sick often when I started. But I've built a tolerance. If I had a "normal" job I'd go back to work tomorrow. But because my job is pretty physical I'm not sure if its a good idea or not. What do you think?

Unfortunately my cousin may have caught it from me. She's caughing and her throat is scratcy. She may come keep me company and we can be miserable together.

Good afternoon buds!! How is everyone? I hope that you're doing ok, with the exception of car problems, flu and phone/internet issues........

True....glad you're back.....have missed your posts!

Angie, waiting for pics from halloween....you too Caroline and Greek!!

BTW, Greek, when I'm home during the day, I switch from HGTV, Style and any episode of Law & Order.....when I had my knee replaced, I had quite a tv routine.....

Miss you all and Alf says hello and asked how you all were doing.....

My car is (probably) ok! haha

The guys called back and they said that they checked everything they could (apparently to check the actual valves it would cost like $500 because they have to remove the engine) and everything checks out. They don't hear the noise anymore, and they were very sure that if there really was a valve problem the sound wouldn't have gone away. So I'm picking my car up tonight and just have to get two new tires

Yaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I tend to use my Dad as my trump card. They always are told that I'll be checking with my father before I do anything, and especially when he's around they know better than to try and mess with me (he has a very authoritative air about him haha). I'm definitely glad I only have to get tires though
