>>>hugs!<<< Oh my goodness, hope things are on the right track now. Did you also let her know the Cabas Piano had some adjustments in designs? I dont' think Elux rep can identify the changes for you as they don't handle the product personally. May be you can ask her to send a side by side pix of hers and your cabas piano side by side, perhaps she have the old version? Do keep us posted, good luck!

That buyer is either misinformed (did not know that the cabas piano design changed) or she is a scam artist. You're taking all the right steps to get this resolved.

I think this so called buyer is suspicious. She may be trying to get a genuine bag for free! That is one of the problems with ebay and paypal. I think it is great they protect buyers from phony stuff, but I think they also start with an assumption the seller is a fraud, and it makes it easy for scam artists to get their money back and leave the seller in the lurch. I have heard these stories before. Whatever you do, don't issue a refund until you have the same purse back in your possession, if she demands a refund. Also be prepared to use legal routes to protect yourself if necessary.

Hug~~ Hug~~ Contact Ebay and explain to them what is going on. No matter what, they can't just listen to one side of the story. Don't worry about your negative feedback, Ebay can fix it once the story cleared.

You have all TPFer's supports! Don't give up!

Thank you all for the great support and advice! She decided to send the bag to MyPoupette. I just don't understand why she can't just go to LV but I guess that's her decision. In the meantime, 600 dollars is on hold in my acct and I'm currently negative 200 since I spent the money for gifts. That seems to be the only thing that's worrying me. But I will keep you posted. Thanks again everyone!

for the future, i suggest you move all the $$ out of the paypal account once the buyer has paid. This is to protect yourself. Paypal has no way of collecting from you. This happened to my friend. He sold something on ebay and then the buyer claimed the item was not properly described in the auction (more like he paid $2k for the PS3 and was bitter that you could get it a week later for $800 bucks). Luckily all the $$ had been moved out of the paypal account. Paypal sided with the buyer and paypal reimbursed the buyer and was not able to collect from my friend. You would lose the ability to use paypal in the future but if you are selling an item worth alot of $$ it might be worth it.

Good luck to you!

I hope this works out in your favor. It might be good that she did not bring the bag to LV to ask since a lot of the newer SAs don't have a clue about authenticity.

Are you sure that's what happened? Doesn't sound right to me.
To my knowledge Paypal doesn't reimburse the buyer money out of their own pockets...they'll chase the seller down for it.
I bought something quite awhile ago on eBay and the seller never shipped the item. She moved all the money out of her account.
I filed a dispute, won it, and got MOST of my money back; the amount that was covered by the protection policy (just $200).

Later I found out this seller was a member here and contacted her right away and asked her to refund me my money...Paypal refunded me some of it, but I was still short $100 or so. She said she's already sent Paypal the money to refund me, and even sent me the money order receipt she sent to Paypal. Upon contacting Paypal, they confirmed that they received her payment, but still couldn't reimburse me the other excess amount because my purchase was only covered for $200.

So...I don't know if that story's true... don't you think a lot of people can get away with things, then?

I am sorry this happened to you. I have a question tho, Did she already got her money back trough paypal?? Why is your PP account negative?? Do they take your money away before they even find out if the bag is authentic or not?? Ass***s. Sorry. If she returning your bag, be careful she might send you the fake one she already owns and keep your authentic one.

This so makes me rethink buying AND selling on eBay.

I will retrain from evil words, but the bottom line is negative feedback claiming an item is fake without verification SHOULD be banned. I recently made a purchase that I was not 100% sure was authentic, but I would NEVER have left feedback until I was sure AND I had contacted the seller informing them of the issue.

Wow, I'm so sorry! Some people on eBay are plain idiots, and she should be banned, definitely!

Paypal is currently holding the money until the claim is settled. I didn't even know they do this. I'm assuming it is because I might immediately withdraw the remainder or my acct balance which is rightfully mine to begin with. She assured me that she won't switch bags. She said she knew for a fact that the interior pocket should be zippered but she obviously does not know the revisions done to the Cabas.
