Seeing that second picture of Audrey Hepburn was why I bought my Speedy a couple of months ago. What a timeless classic.

Well, the jury's out on whether it was a 25 or a 30 but I think we all agree that Audrey and Speedy go together just fine!

it was the 25. i went into a lv store and the lady told me the whole story. (looong) also, in the thread how young is to young, Dickies80 talked about it breifley

Hmmm.......it does look like a 30 to me. Whatever size...it is such a beautiful bag and she was just beyond elegant.

I think that especially because of what someone mentioned in another forum, that the 30 was released in 193(3?) and they supposedly designed a "new" tailored speedy for audrey, it seems fitting that for her, because of her petite frame (size 0 -- even nat portman had a hard time fitting into her dress) they would tailor the 30 DOWN to make it "new" ...

I think it was the 25 too - remember, she was unbelievably tiny. I think a 30 would have swamped her frame. I think it's the 25. I like both the 25 and the 30. I have both (my daughter's using the 25 and I'm using the 30), but I miss my 25 - I love the smaller size sometimes. Course I'd never ask for it back (she'd KILL me!) - so I may have to break down sometime and buy another 25.

She is so unbelievably classy and beautiful. If she were wearing the same clothes she had on in the photos and carrying her Speedy today, she'd still look current.
