If you live in a state that does not have a Louis Vuitton store, you are not charged sales tax.

Regarding the tax, I just found out last time when I ordered the LV MC wallet and there was no tax neither the delivery fee in my shopping bag (so I jumped into it right away ) . This is kinda surprised too because we do have an LV store in my area (Washington DC) . And the package got shipped from the store in New Jersey twice so i guess there might me some source of connection. . Not sure if this done state by state but pretty sure it's worth trying online if you don't mind the wait

If there is no LV boutique in your state you are not charged any sales tax. one of my personal perks too, living in WI. No tax, no shipping. CONGRATS OP!! Love the bag!

--editing to add, OP just added there is an LV near her so I have NO idea about her tax - LOL!! Hmmm. Perhaps because she has a D.C. address. I don't think there is a LV in "D.C."
