I actually don't mind driving in NY (I lived there for a couple of years). But, I know there are some buses that leave from DC that go to NY that cost $25 each way. Not the Chinatown bus. I've seen the ads in the Wash Post. I think they drop you off at Penn Station. I guess this could be an option if it ends up being in NY.

Hey, for those that live in PA, can you tell me what the sales tax is on LV goods? I vaguely recall no tax on clothes/shoes. Or am I mixing that up with NJ? Its 5% down here.

I would love to come. I have done other pf meet ups. But I will NOT shop in the KOP store. Bad bad customer service. I would still meet everyone for lunch and other mall shopping.

Do they tax on clothes? I know NJ never used to BUT I haven't lived there for 5 years now so I forget! Too bad Delaware doesn't have an LV... they are tax free!!! I will call my mom tonight to ask about NJ tax! I think it's up to 7% now, but if they don't tax clothes, we should be ok!!

I'm pretty sure that there is no tax on clothes in NJ becuase I know my DH and I drove to Short Hills from NYC to get a burberry coat to avoid sales tax.

True...try boltbus.com & search for megabus. Bolt bus has free wi-fi, several a day and once I got two DC-NYC tickets for $11 total.

I vote MD, but I'll see as the plans are finalized. Great idea!
