Victoria tube station is only a hop away from any of the centre shopping streets!

Edited to say I think you should rule out the Blair Victoria, I always check a hotel out on Trip Advisor & the reviews are not good!

I don't offhand Steve but I will check in the next few days & see what I can come up with.
I know someone who stayed in a B&B off Oxford st. was decent & reasonable, I will call her & try to get the name.
I think if you are aiming at less than 60 then B&B is the way to go, most hotels are more. I will have a trawl on the net before the weekend!

Something like this might be the answer (a 2 bed apartment for 28th Nov 119.99) where you could split cost with another. http://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/marl..._month=2008-11

Last time I was in London I took a 3 bed apartment as we were there for over a week, it was great not to be living out of a bedroom for the whole time! It was expensive but one above is very reasonable! It's a bit outside London close to the O2 but this is only an example, when I have time I can trawl ones closer to centre.

I won't know my dates regarding work etc. until closer to the date so I will have to arrange around then, but I live in London so it should be ok, though around December time I am very busy so may have work commitments. I'll have to see, but it all sounds very exciting if I can make it.

Regarding Sloane Street, I do not believe they have a VIP room, but I know the Assistant Manager at the Bond Street store who could probably arrange a private room at their store as it's the UK flagship. Any thoughts?

P.S.

Don't stay at the Ritz, I stayed their a few months ago and it's farrrr to pretentious.
The Dorchester on Park Lane is much nicer, and the staff are much more polite! :)
