ok since i had so much fun at the Houston meet this past weekend, I was wondering if there is any interest in having a meet around here in the Dallas area. since i just moved to the area last year I don't know what the most popular LV place is...so far i've been to Willowbend in Plano, the Dallas Galleria, and Northpark Mall. I'm assuming there's an LV in Highland Park but I've never been there.

anyway, i'd be very willing to help organize something if there are other LV lovers out in the Dallas area (i'm sure there are!!!)

I'd love to attend! Although I currently live in Amsterdam, Dallas is home for me as I still have family, friends, and a home there. Not sure when you're planning on a meet but if I can fly in to attend I will. I am sure to be in the area for the weekend on 11 April. Then I'm not back until mid-June. I'll keep an eye on this post and join in if possible.

I think the Galleria LV store is generally considered the 'main' store in the area.

thats what I figured, after going to the various stores in the area, and considering the ones in Willowbend and Northpark are not standalone boutiques, they are just inside a Neiman Marcus.

And unfortunately April 11 is not good for me because my parents will be in town that weekend for Easter (since Easter Sunday is on April 12th). Though May or June seems pretty open to me (only weekends I can't do is Memorial Day weekend and June 20th). July seems pretty open too..

and wow, from Dallas to Amsterdam, that must be quite a change! I've spent most of my adult life living in Boston and even between there and Dallas i think there is a huge difference. Main thing I noticed is that everything is ridiculously huge here, from cars, houses, parking spaces, stores, etc. :)

anyway, hope you can attend a meet..i'll see if any more people respond and hopefully we can pick a date to meet. i would love to meet more tpf'ers in the area!

Count me in. I'm in the Dallas area as well. I agree Easter weekend may not be the best but May, June, July would work. I've been to all of the stores mentioned and have to agree with pltprincess that the Galleria store might be best since it is one of the main stores. Although, I did hear a rumor back in December from a SA at NM in Northpark that the mall would be adding a LV store. Not sure if that is true or not but that mall has just about every other highend store in the nation so it would make since.

I'm excited

yeah, i kind of blantantly copied itsonly4me's idea... I had felt the same way, the Houston meet was such a blast and i figured it would be cool to have a meet a bit closer to home, that didn't involve so much driving. also since i'm fairly new to dallas it would be nice to find some shopping buddies! right now my DH is the only one I have been taking to LV lately, so i don't go often, i don't want to torture him too much.

Admit it, you just wanna be more like me.. If you need any tips on how to plan a meet, for a small fee I can help you out.

And no matter how much you try SoCal meets are the best... No way to top them... Well unless of course I was there.
