I never did understand the rudness of some of the SAs. I would have definately asked for a manager right then and there on the spot. There is no excuse for that type of behavior, especially when I am shelling out my hard earned money. Off with her head
...lol

I travel a lot, and I've been to a bunch of different LV stores. The WORST by far was the one at the Nordstrom on Michigan Ave. in Chicago. The woman was SUPER condescending. She was a price mentioner, too, when I asked if they had the Roses stole. Ummm...I'll ask if I need to know, thanks.
The best was at the Neiman Marcus store in McLean, VA, at Tysons Galleria. I've only bought ties from this SA, but you would think I've been buying vernis almas from him that's how friendly and nice he is. Come to think of it, and I don't mean to make generalizations, just based on my experience, the female SAs have been the coldest and the male ones have been the most pleasant to work with. Oddly enough, I've gotten pretty decent service at all the other ones I've been to. |

I went to the 5 ave store and I didnt like that store that well either. There were many representatives but only some were nice, even though i wore my Galliera. I find the store in SOHO much nicer. I went there twice just to try on bags and did not buy anything. They were all so nice and gave me their opinion when i asked them. Thats my favorite LV store.

So sorry to hear that, I find the 5th ave store has horrible customer svc, but it may be due in part by all the tourists they constantly get going in there

So sorry that happened to you! Definitely complain, as pps have said, but if it ever happens again...YOU are the customer, SHE is the employee...fix her with a cold fishy stare and politely ask to speak to the manager. Practice a cold fishy stare in your mirror if necessary
![]() I was in the Cherry Creek (Denver) store today--had two bags to be repaired, but only one is repairable *sob*--and all the SA's were polite and friendly. ETA--I'm a native New Yorker. Cold fishy stares work well, generally, especially with SAs who are probably from a small town in Ohio :lmao: |

I had that happen in the Saks in Pittsburgh. Granted, I was dressed casually, and walked in with my stroller and kids, but still.
I approached the counter, and the 2 women kind of gave each other a look..they *almost* rolled their eyes. I said that I was interested in a wallet and asked if I could see the Koala- she didn't say a word. Opened up the case, pulled out FIVE wallets, plopped them on the counter in front of me and walked back to the register and the other SA. I was just standing there feeling horrid. I ended up buying from the Pittsburgh LV- and the SAs there have been WONDERFUL. I've dealt with 3, and they've all been super nice. One of them even plays with my kids while I'm trying on bags, and compliments me profusely on their behavior. LOL I'll never go back to Saks! |

I was just at the 5th Ave. boutique and met one of the nicest SA's; his name is CHRIS H. I asked to see a particular LV and he took one out in every color available so I can compare and make sure I end up going home with the one I want. I bought a small item, but he treated me as if I just bought a Le Fab and an alligator Lockit from him LOL!

I have to say I wasn't that impressed with Lauren A. at the Fifth Ave store in NYC either. She started to act nicer towards me when she knew I was going to buy a bag. I didn't even get my receipt in an envelope, she just handed it to me. At least I got a box.

I completely agree about the Fifth Ave. store. I was there two weeks ago and wasn't impressed at all. All they have out are the basics, which I guess is what they're figuring tourists want. I thought I'd find the creme de la creme there, but to no avail....
From now on, I'm sticking to Short Hills....where there are two options: the LV boutique and Neiman Marcus. Plus the SAs in Jersey are much more friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.... |

Hmmm, I would probably want to go back to the store, hope you are greeted by a nicer SA, and purchase the bag in front of that mean SA. After the purchase, look as the mean SA, and say, "Big mistake. BIG. HUGE! I have to go shopping now," and walk off (recreate the scene from Pretty Woman, ya know? LOL)
But seriously, maybe really consider getting the Bbag. I got the Giant Day in Pommier and have the Raisin in my sight now. Go for it. It's an amazing color. esp for Fall!! |
