What? Novemeber!!! wow.... at this rate, they are increasing 3-5% each time. if there is the fourth time, it will be 12-15% increase per year.....

Better buy what ever you want as soon as you can... if you want, you can easily pay 100 more than before.

I tried to justified buying several LV in one year by explaining to my DH that buying LV is a good investment , because of the guaranteed 12-15% increase in price.... (hahahah.. but then he said "too bad you are never going to sell your bag and you will never capture the gain")

Unreal. I can't tell if it's LVs greed or just the American dollar that's suffering so badly.....

There are certainly not many things that I still want (thankfully) - and I will treasure what I do have, that's for sure...

What makes you think it's the American dollar or exchange rates that fixes the pricing. The prices are not the same world wide using currency conversion adjustments. If they were then an LV in Japanese yen would be equivalent to the price in US dollars or Euros. But that's not the case. LVs in Japan cost a HUGE amount more that what Europeans or Americans are paying. Now consider that around one third of the entire LV production ends up exported to Japan and you see that 33% of the market are paying a higher price than everyone else. LV know that the Japanese market share will not decrease however much they increase the price so the Japanese are getting stung. Does that answer the other poster's question re. "greed" or is that a shrewd marketing empire that knows how to milk the market to the maximum? Only you can decide. Meanwhile there are new LV copies starting to appear that are close to 50% of the cost of an LV (much higher in price than anything been seen before) , and they are so close to the originals that most stores and manufacturers will not be able to tell the difference.

I saw a fake Rolex at a Rolex dealer in Dubai recently that had been made in a workshop in Turkey. Solid Gold not gold plate. It was identical inside apart from three original equipment manufacturer parts. This watch fooled every Rolex service center between Dubai and Switzerland. It was only caught when Rolex headquarters put the mechanism under a high power microscope. It was one of those proof of concept copies "we can do anything the same quality as you can and you won't tell the difference."

So the price increase will probably be here in Europe before the US then... Does anyone know when? Already in October?
