Default Marc Jacobs is ok with knock offs
Don't know if this is where I should post this but I Found this on Perez Hilton and wanted to know what you guys think.

It's funny how everyone on this forum sais that when you wear fake you insult the designer himself.. and then hearing MJ who is actually in a way defending those who damage the reputation of Louis Vuitton.

BUT if you read carefully he just said when people wear a copy, he didn't use the word knock off or fake... And a copy isn't necceserily a knock off. You can get inspired by something and make something similar without giving the idea that its directly copied from a existing piece. for example: not every black cocktail dress is Chanel.. But they are inspired by Chanel who was (and correct me if im wrong) the first who made them.

That's exactly how I read into it, too, LV93!

I highly doubt that MJ is happy with crooks making $$$ off of HIS designs.

sarahloveslouis: That's the thing with people like perez.. they take something completely out of context and twist words to make it sound more interesting and eventually sell more magazines etc. Its just sad that some people don't see it (no offense to the OP)
