i know that flights within europe can be quite cheap, but i'm gonna go ahead and say it's not worth it JUST to save money. you'll end up paying more than you save. but...if you absolutely love paris (how can you not?) and do other fun stuff while you're there then it might be nice

and can i please say how freaking jealous i am that you can go to paris for a day trip?!

Well, it's Paris...GO! Think of the extra money you're shelling out as part of the entire experience!

I can only compare it to Germany. France is a little bit cheaper but not as much as to justify a trip only to purchase LV.

Why don't you take a look at the french e-store on louisvuitton.com, they have all the prices listed (including vat).

I'd go for a weekend, rather than just a day!

When I go to Paris it also just for a day, but I find that even you won't save as much as it costs you, it's just great to go to Paris for a day and shop in Louis Vuitton Chaps-Elysees or on the Avenue de Montaigne (Best boutiqu in Paris in my opinion) and it's well worth the travel

You won't save much IMO, so if you're going for that reason alone then no it's not worth it but if you want to buy from the Mothership etc then definitely. The Champs Elysse store is absolutely stunning.
