first lv purchase - dustbag question!

Hi,

I'm planning on buying my first lv this weekend!

I'm going for a speedy (30 i think) damier ebene. But i've heard that speedy's come folded in a small dustbag.

What is a non-rude way to ask for a larger dustbag ?
Do they charge you extra ( i would like to store the bag all filled up) for a larger one? Do they sometimes refuse to give you a larger one, or are they generally okay with it?

Also, i know it's a long shot, but any comments on the store in Antwerp, Belgium?

I've heard there normally really friendly

usually you can gently ask for bigger dust bag and explain to them how you want to store it. So they should be able to get a bigger one for you. They should not charge you for a bigger dust bag. If you want, you can even ask them to give you hard box for you to keep your bag.

Congrats and good choice. I got a 30 and the dust bag that came with it, was large. I don't know if it's a standard size LV supply for each different bag or if it varies store/country?

Tell them you have a good sized collection and therefore the bag will be stored time to time and you know LV recommends NOT storing the bag folded, so please provide a dustcover that will accomodate an unfolded, stuffed speedy!

thanks for your reactions! Unfortunately I'm only 21 and it's my second designer bag (1st is mbmj dr g groovee in cream) so i won't tell her i have a super large collection , she probably won't believe it!

But i'll just ask as nice as i can, it seems to me that i probably won't be the first one to ask. :)

doesn't hurt to ask in a nice way and the SA might give you the larger dustbag....

Could you please explain what means "folded"?

The Speedy generally comes flat, with the corners tucked inward. Which means that the bag is folded, like origami.

I love their boxes but I just throw them away. I do not like clutter!

Yup, don't forget to ask for a box either, they will give you one for free and should be more than happy to accommodate .. I always make sure to get a box as it's a great way to keep your LV items stored neatly away

You should stuff your Speedy when stored, otherwise, the canvas can crack and the folds may leave permanent creases in the bag.

i ever asked a dust bag from SA but she told me she doesnt have extra dust bag to spare me.

i dont fold my speedy when storing. i open it up. you can see my speedy under my signature. its inside my showcase. its not good to fold a bag bcos it will leave permanent creases.
