I spent $599 (free shipping) on a Damier Azur Speedy 30 from fashionphile.
I had been looking at them on ebay, and it seemed like they were selling really high, and ALL 4 of the ebay ones that I was watching were auction only (which irritates the heck out of me, I don't do auctions) so I just bought one from fashionphile. It's in excellent condition, I *think* the date code was 2007? Not sure, I didn't realize that fashionphile would remove all traces of the listing as soon as I clicked "send payment" so I can't look at it or the description. lol Anyway, the 4 on ebay are coming down to the last day, and they aren't anywhere NEAR $600. None of them even have ANY bids, and one of the sellers just emailed me and offered to let me have hers for the opening bid of $550! So, do you think I spent too much? I went to "Start Selling" on ebay, and under the "What's it worth?" I looked up damier azur speedy- it looks they they sell for an average of $400-$600, with $600 being on the really high end. Rats! What do you think? |

It's always a bit more expensive buying from a reputable seller, but at least you are reassured that the item is most likely authentic and if anything goes wrong, you'll have an easier time getting a refund.
IMO, the reassurance is worth $50. Either way, you still saved from buying retail!!! |

This is true! There was only one ebay listing that I would have felt really comfortable buying from, the other 3 were private sellers with not many feedbacks.
You're right, the peace of mind I have knowing that it came from fashionphile is worth $50! |

It is so random with pricing.....one week something is $100 higher or lower than it was the week before.....I don't get it.
I think your peace of mind is definitely worth $50...congrats on the bag!

Did you have it authenticated to be on the safe side?
I think it's a tad high but it depends on the condition. |

I didn't get a chance to have it authenticated- when I bought from Yoogis Closet, they kept the listing available, so after buying I was still able to have it looked at.
I bought it through fashionphile, then when I went for the link to have it checked, it was gone! I can't find any evidence of its existence...lol I'll have it checked out as soon as it comes, before I remove the tag!!! |

Just be sure to have it authenticated. She's had at least 4-5 fakes up for sale that have been caught by people on the forum. I personally don't trust her listings because of that. 1-2 I could see, but when it keeps on happening after people keep calling her on it, that makes me nervous. Be sure to take lots of pictures and have it authenticated. There is no way after what I've seen on here that I would gave blanket trust to anyone, especially not her. Luckily, it does seem like she will give a refund if she sells a fake, but I have read about some cash flow issues with her business on here too. I hope it works out great for you!

She is a little over the top. But she has high rent to pay, and all that other stuff that comes along with a bussiness. She has a good backround as well, People love her. look at her feedback on Ebay too.

The other listings have ended, and they went for about $450 average. One of them had a bin of $550, and was just relisted with a bin of $499. From a very reputable seller, too. Oh well- I'm going to try not to worry about the fact that I may have spent $100 too much, as long as I'm happy with the bag!
I spent an hour this morning reading about fashionphile on tpf, and now I'm a little worried!!! I thought they were a great, reputable seller- but it seems that a lot of people have had bad experiences! Yiles! |

I'm sure it will probably be fine. I'm a tad vocal about her because I want people to really realize that they still need to have things authenticated. She was purportedly an attorney after all - ha ha! I have found some of her responses to some of the fakes found in her listings to be similar to "attorney-speak," which makes me even more nervous (I've been a paralegal for 25+ years). I've have found in my practice that a lot of attorneys skirt those ethical boundaries a bit. I think she is not careful enough what is going on underneath her, especially as her business has grown. I also wonder how many things haven't been caught by the people on here. That's what worries me. Also - why take off the pictures so quickly? How do you then prove what you got is what is pictured? I guess it would be really important to print off large pictures of anything before you purchase it.
All that said - I bet it will all be fine! I think it's just important for peoples' eyes to be open. That's always a good thing. I personally would never buy from her, but I think probably more people have had good experiences than bad, so you'll probably be okay. |

I would have rather spent the extra $90 and bought it brand new if you are going to spend $600. I don't think is worth buying used unless its at least a 25-30% discount.

My fingers are crossed that the is perfect and everything that you hoped for!!! I have to admit that I think the price is a little high since a new one on the LV site is 690.
