ChocoGrace, can you take pictures of your bag too?

My bag seems to have the same red glaze problem almost like the red glaze was washed out. The pleating looks farther away from the point compared to the other poster but still symmetrical.

Tell us how it all works out!

Definitely. I hope I will hear back from my store soon. I kinda miss my bag, haha. This is so unlike me. In the meantime, ChocoGrace, let me just drool over your bag when you get it tomorrow.

I hope the op doesn't mind me posting pics of my bag...I took some pictures for people's comparison when they pick up theirs...
I tried to get the symmetry of the pleating and the red glazed corners too..

Did everyone see the new price on the Tivoli on LV's site? It is at 935.00. It is still 880.00 here in Hawaii. I think it is supposed to stay that way for awhile. We just had our increase here on the bag, it seems like this bag keeps getting more expensive since November.

Thanks Kareberry for your pictures. Yours actually is in very good condition compared to mine. I would have kept it if mine looked like that. Pleats look good too. Very nice!

the tivoli went up in price too?!? I thought the tivoli's price would stay the same since i was a fairly new bag! ugh... guess i won't be getting one anymore. :( Unless... would it be possible to call an LV store in Hawaii and order one? Even with shipping charges, it's still cheaper than here.

GM was $1190 and is now $1250 after the increase!

I'm glad I ordered mine on Tuesday at the old price.

Oh, help! I don't know whether to jump for joy or to start crying. I've been waiting for this bag and she is so beautiful! When I looked closer, I DID see the flaky, problematic, inconsistent red glazing that most others have noticed.

I should at least take her in and talk to the SA about it (even though she was shipped from another state) but I would hate being parted from her or having to wait all over again for a new one. My mom recieved her GM today and it was PERFECT. I showed her mine to compare and she doesn't think I should worry about it and just "leave it alone". But there are one or two spots that could turn into potential problems. I call them "spongey" parts..where the vachetta is not completely glazed and you can smoosh it with your fingernail whereas other parts of the vachetta edge that are correctly glazed don't budge!

Here are my pics with notes...please help with your opinions or better yet, pics of your beloved Tivoli and it's glazed edges. Perhaps this is the norm?! Maybe the way the glaze sets is an artifact of having been spread over a soft, malleable, porous material such as delicate vachetta? The only thing I can compare it to is when you are frosting a cake and because it is so crumbley with nooks and crannies, the frosting will go uneven...piling up more in some parts while leaving other parts of the cake looking "bald" or barely frosted and the only way to fix it is to pile on more frosting! Oh, I am going nuts and feeling sick to my stomach. Please help us Tivoli lovers!

Ok wow, Grace, that does NOT look good. I can see a little bit of variation here and there but that looks pretty shoddy to me. I'd see if you can exchange it, THAT would bother me for sure.

I got mine and I just enjoy it. I spent almost 1k on it, I should be enjoyed it instead of worrying all the defects. If it does not look bad and if you like the bag, then you should keep it and enjoy it. If you buy something and it does not make you feel good, then you should return it. You want to make the money works for you, not you working for it.
Just enjoy if you like! don't worry be happy!

If you do decide to do it that way, you should see if the Hitlon Hawaiian Village can do it for you. They provide the best service out of the three stores here. But they are small. Ala Moana the staff is okay but should be able to help you in your purchase. The Waikiki store I believe is the biggest one. But I got snubbed there so I never went back.

Thanks for posting your picts ChocoGrace. LV is really dissapointing me big time! I was hoping that majority of Tivolis that LV selling are good ones. But now it seems like there are also just as many bad ones. Your glaze on the back side of the bag looks fine, if I am not wrong, even though it is still in two shades of glaze . I see this on almost every Tivoli pict so far. But I also see the problems that you pointed out on the picts. I really would recommend an exchange for you too, but then I don't know what the quality will be like on the next one you'll get. I am now very scared that my next one will have these same problems. What should we do? I almost comtemplated getting a different bag at one point if Tivoli doesn't work out at the end. I will let you know what happens after they call me. In the meantime, see if you can go in to one of the store and speak with a manager and see what they say.
