Disappointed w/ new Tivoli PM!!!

I have one of the Tivolis (pm) purchased about 2 weeks after it was released. I'm assuming this is the 'first batch' since it was Made In France. I checked the lining and it is the usual brown canvas, like the Almas etc, and does not have any glitter/sparkles to it.

wow, what a bummer! I got the GM when it was first released and I know what you mean by the 'gold sparkles'....I hope they change it back! I would take it back if I were you!

Well I got my Tivoli PM on the 1st day as it was released... everything looks great but I don't find any sparkles in it??

BTW mine was made in France as well.

wow - that's so weird that they were made with two different linings. I think i'll take it back and ask them about the lining. Hopefully they're still making them with the sparkly lining and i can get a hold of one!

My lining does not have any sparkles and is plain brown. But I have also noticed on a few sites that the date codes are different. I purchased my LV at the LV boutique in Hawaii and my date code for country is VI and was made in December, but I saw the Tivoli PM on ebay with date codes that are AR. So I am not sure if mine is the first batch or second. But no sparkle in my bag. Sorry.

I dont know what lining your referring to either...I got the GM right when they came out and its a brown canvas.

If your not happy with the construction of the bag then take it back right away. Sounds like someone at quality control was asleep that day!

I got my GM right when they came out and my date code is MB 3067. What does MB mean?

I ended up taking my tivoli back with the intentions of exchanging it. The SA brought out 3 other tivoli pm's for me to look at and they were much worse than mine. They were also "smaller" than the one i had - it's hard to explain, but the entire bag, everything was smaller. They were about 1.5 inches shorter(height wise) and about half an inch shorter, length wise. Also, the pleats were much more misaligned than the one i had! What i mean by misaligned is that the piece of vachetta that says "Louis vuitton, etc..", where it comes to a point, there is where the pleats start. Well, one pleat would be aligned right at the point and the next pleat was a cm away. So it wasn't symmetrical. One of the SA's (i think she was new) told me that they're suppose to be made unsymmetrically. is that true?!? I don't understand why they would do that! I think she was just trying to get me to keep the bag. In the end i just returned it because I know it would bother me everytime i used it and really, for paying that much for a bag, i think it should be symmetrical! haha :) I think i'll just check back later to see if i they have one that symmetrical. Has anyone else had this experience?

Omg, that is horrible! I am desperate for a pm and I hope that when I do get it, it is the kind of quality LV is famous for. It sounds like a major QC problem...have you another LV boutique you can visit and compare Tivolis? This is really worrisome, I'll be checking this thread frequently.

No mine are perfectly alligned. mine is the GM though so maybe its different. I cant believe all 3 bags were so awful.

I tell ya they are downsizing/scaling down everything these days and either chargin more or keeping the price the same. If you look at all my Juicy the XL that I bought a year ago is equivilent in size to a medium. Ice cream is now going down to 1 1/2 quarts instead of a half gallon, its awful what retail is anymore.

I just saw the pm in store yesterday, and I thought it was quite small, how is it compare to trevi, which one is a better choice?
