I just got back from Macau and Guam last month. Most of my LV purchases I do in Guam since I find it's really cheaper than Manila (stupidly horrendous mark-up) and TAX FREE, and notably 30% less than the prices in Korea and Japan. Whatever price indicated in the US website of LV, that's the price in Guam. As for Macau (LV in Four Seasons, The Shoppes, Duty Free Shop), prices are about 100 to 200$ difference than in LV (Duty Free Shop) Guam. I heard LV DFS in Saipan is cheap too!

Does anyone know how the rates are in Ireland? I'll be going in a month. I know Ireland uses the Euro - so therefore would they be the same price as they are listed on LV's French eshopping website? (Since they are listed as Euros on there).
Also - did someone mention that VAT is already included in that Euro price? So would I be getting, like, an extra 15% off of that? For example - the rose pouchette is listed on the French Eshopping website as 310 euros. One euro is about 1.3 dollars, so... the pouch is about $403 dollars when converted from euros (about $100 less than the US retail of $500). Because it's in euros, wouldn't it cost the same in every EU country? And then, would I get more $ back from VAT as well, or is that tacked on at the end of the sale? Like, would the bag cost about 15% more - making it $463 and therefore not a huge deal - or would I eventually get about 15% back? Sorry for all of the questions and I hope this isnt too confusing. I tried to read a few pages of this forum but just got confused due to all of the different countries, etc. Thank you in advance :) |
