Yesterday I was told the 18th but I think she meant buy by then...that it would be effective on the 19th.

Dang! Well, fingers crossed my HR AMEX cuts off tomorrow...or else I'll be spending an extra 5% to buy my *mystery bag* (which isn't a mystery at all, considering some of you probably know what it is).

Yup, that figure was also given by my SA (around 4% increase).

Yup, 19th it is...I am going to suck it up and buy my bag on Sunday. Thank goodness DBF is willing to help me out with it.

Just spoke to my SA in Banff and she confirmed that it is the 19th and it will be 4%. She did mention that not all the bags are going up. I immediately asked her to ring a sale through today and I will pick up the item in Banff when I am there next week.

Karman - I know that my SA in Calgary was able to hold my Epi Lock-it for me over the phone (before the price increase) and rang the sale through when I was in Calgary a few days after the price increase. Since she spoke to me and held the bag for me a few days before the price increase, she was able to honour me the old price. Ask your SA and see if that works.

Thanks MA, but I'm going to pick up the bag tomorrow so it's no big deal any more. I just wanted to wait until September initially because I promised BF I'd ban myself until then...but he agreed to let me buy it before the price increase since I did so well the past couple of months so it's no biggie now.

Same, the last time I was at the LV boutique before visiting Garth last week was in June...when I bought my Azur Speedy.
Well, I picked up my bag today, and I think I would've been fine even if I decided to pick it up on Tuesday. My bag had a hold slip with the price on it and everything so I think the old price would be honoured anyhow because I asked for a hold on Friday. I will post pics later when I get home from BF's house

arlv - My BF likes LV too. When he comes with me, he always checks out the men's accessories (he owns two LV ties and a Damier wallet...I might get him another LV accessory this year sometime too)
