Small accessories always come with boxes.

However, for larger items, you generally need to request a box - Unless of course you are a frequent customer and the associate knows that you prefer your items boxed.

Vuitton has also discontinued production of their extra large and super-sized boxes.

... But boxes are always, always free.

I think it depends of the store. In Japan you get the box with every bag and they even ask you what box would you prefere and how to pack your bag (ex. if you want your speedy flat or stuffed)

If you ask they will give you. I actually bought my first lv from uk, it came without box and I was a little disheartened, so when i got to Bahrain I told them and they kindly gave me a new box and bag hehe!

I buy my bag at the LV in Vancouver and each time I asked for a box for my Speedy, Rosewood and Neverfull MM they always tell me that these bags don't come with a box and they never give me one .....for the Rosewood they said they don't make boxes that will fit that bag..I'm so disappointed I never got a box for my bags as I see that some ppl have boxes for their speedy

Lv says they are going green but the TRUTH is LV is trying to save $$$$$$$$ and is why you need to ask nowadays. I love the line they are giving though, going green, right

I bought a Speedy yesterday and asked for a box. The SA said they didn't have any left and won't be getting any more until the holiday season.

^ to be honest, that sounds rather silly - assuming that October is the start of holiday season, or at least when inventory will be coming in, that is FIVE MONTHS without boxes. Could any self respecting SA say that to a VIC with a straight face ?

^ I know....weird thing is he is a friend of my SO so I doubt he was lying to us! It was an LV in a department store, not a free standing store. Not sure if that makes any difference.

He gave me two bags instead so I could store it in a bag though.

^ Perhaps they are allocated less ? But that is also silly, cause Louis Vuitton would just shoot themselves in the foot with regards to counters competing against global stores.

Sorry to hear though.

I have never been given a box for my bags, and I go to my local store very often. The only time I've been given a box was when i bought my mother a wallet for her birthday and asked if the could wrapp it.. I really want the boxes for my bags because I want to organize them better. Do you think it would be possible to go there now (my last purchase was in July) and ask for boxes for my previously bought bags? Thank you!
