Hi, I have this Black epi Cles, its vintage and is quite old but new to me. It does not have datecode or "Louis Vuitton Paris made in ...." Stamp, they have both rubbed off, I can see very faintly with a flashlight the "Louis Vuitton Paris made in..." but its so faint I can hardly see it.

It looks authentic to be but I would like a second opinion, all pics are on here.

Thanks !!

Can you try and get a pic of the heatstamp? Use your macro setting (the little flower) and turn the flash on and take in good light (tips provided by Rebecca )
ADDY is the vintage expert and I know she likes to very detailed when authenticating. Even if the pics aren't great someone may be able to enhance them =)

I would also like to add that this seller has been extremely understanding and such a pleasure to deal with at every stage of the transaction. Any implication that I made that I would lose my money or that she was late to post is totally misguided and wrong and I am sorry for that. In fact, I was the one who made late payment and contact, and who asked her to hold off on posting the item (yet she still remained completely pleasant, helpful and understanding).

She is the best seller I have ever encountered on ebay. She is also a member of TPF and was hurt by my above post, so I hope you read this and accept my apology!

Thanks
You have no reason to apologize. It is ALWAYS good to double, triple check (especially if someone has given you reason - ie. your friend who put doubt in your mind).
It's too bad that the seller was hurt by your post - but even she/he didn't buy it at LV themselves so they have no way of knowing for sure that it was real. You weren't questioning her customer service or kindness - you were just protecting yourself.
Even the experts on here make mistakes and I've seen many MPRS's on ebay sell fakes -- so unless you have actually bought the bag from the LV store yourself you can't be 100% positive.
If you hadn't checked it here you might always have that nagging feeling in the back of your mind.

Wow - good eye!

omg you're absolutely right! it went up from $90 to $400. the same person bid 300 then 350 then 400 all within 2 hours. why do people do that??

anyhoo, can you all tell me if this one looks good. it's a new seller and i would be a new buyer....we are in the same country too!

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Authentic-Louis-V...QQcmdZViewItem
Make sure you get the pics that John suggested. This sellers pics look weird (see the watermark bottom right? That's the Ebay watermark and it is added when you upload pics on ebay - but this sellers pics weren't uploaded - they were put on html...)
Also, I know that as a new buyer you want to give new sellers the benifit of the doubt but yo have to be cautious with sellers who have such low FB - they have recourse if they scam you.
(I've bought from low FB sellers with no problems - I'm just saying you need to be extra careful =)

That snap closure looks awfully crooked in relation to the heat stamp... can you please ask the seller for a pic of the heat stamp in natural light, no flash?

Hey all - I'm pretty sure these are fake, but just confirming. Would you agree not authentic (price, stamp on clochette is weird, bag in funny shape for being used only 3 times). TIA!
