K, there should be no square piece inside of a speedy - and speedies can be made in USA and Spain, not just France. The speedy is made of one continuous piece of canvas, so the LV's are upside down on one side. Any patches inside or outside of the bag is a sure sign of a fake speedy. The interior is dark brown; never a beige.

wow sooooo helpful!!! thanks!! so it should not have the square piece, should it have anything written (such as Louis Vuitton made in Spain/France/USA etc) on the leather piece attached to the inside pocket? Or is there no leather piece at all?? sorry if i am asking you too many questions, i just try to be informed as best i can and I was told this is the best place to get my questions answered!!! i will try to go to the LV store before I buy also!!! thanks sooooooooo much!!

There is no leather pieces with any writing inside of the bag. There is a leather piece on the SIDE of the bag that says Louis Vuitton Paris Made in... but never inside.
