Nice, accurate pictures are great for authenticating, but they also serve as great guides for people making fakes!!! I think this is one of the reasons for removing the really detailed pictures that used to be on eLuxury.

Hi there, was hoping someone could help me out with a garment bag I purchased on Ebay. I had posted a few days back with pictures (link below).

The bag seem to be very nice quality, not flimsy in any way, however the problem why I think it may not be authentic is that hardware I thought is normally brass; is actually brown on this bag. Also on the outside there is a leather oval patch, which I thought was a no-no.

Im just confused and can send this back, but would like to do so immediately if it is infact a fake. The woman sent me an email with a very convincing story (as I am sure most do, however she is selling other LV items as well). I am hoping it is real because it is nice, but would die giving this as a gift if it is fake. Thanks!

Yes, the bag should have 2 pockets inside like yours does. As someone else mentioned on page 3 of this thread I believe, LV does not like to provide TOO many detailed shots of items on their website, otherwise it would serve as basically a step by step guide for making fakes.
So you should also look at pictures of authentic bags or check them out in person if possible and make comparisons from there, rather than just the LV site. I remember one main difference a couple of years ago when the LV Multicolore line was first released, they showed the white MC Speedy with a red LV symbol. Well when it was produced and sold, the bag did NOT have the red LV symbol, and this fooled counterfeiters for a very long time. I don't know if Elux changed the pictures at all or if they left them up, but in general, this is why you need to not only rely on the stock websites to check out the authenticity of your items.

I can't enlarge the pictures of the heat stamp and zipper pull so need new pics of those and also need pics of the stamping on the outside of the bag.

Need close, clear pics of the heat stamp (reads "Louis Vuitton Paris made in ___"), date code, zipper pulls and a square of the canvas where it reads "Louis Vuitton Paris."
