Hi, not an expert here, but this is the Nocturne in Epi Lilac. I had this bag many years ago and I remembered that it had a datecode inside.

Thanks so much for the quick response. found the datecode...its VL 0051. But read from somewhere that the last 2 digits should be less than 31...???

Yup, this is the Epi Nocturne as EvaRobyn said.
There should be a date code, probably stamped into the lining or stamped on a tab along the seam on the pocket on the inside, but if you can't find it, don't worry, it doesn't mean it's fake if you can't find it.
Can you post a picture of the heat stamp though (reads "Louis Vuitton Paris made in ___")?

Umm, I'm not sure about the 31...VL0051 means that the bag was manufactured in May 2001. It's best for you to post clear pictures of this datecode and the Made in stamp for a proper authentication here.

Could I ask your opinion on the straps? I noticed that the straps on this Brentwood are harder than that of my Rosewood (authenticated here as genuine). The Rosewood straps are flimsy and very slightly furry. I noticed this on my Palermo GM shoulder strap too. I'm wondering whether LV purposely made the Brentwood strap harder since its a larger bag? THanks!!
