Default Suhali Leather - Texture Question

Is Suhali leather supposed to be very smooth or does it have a texture to it? I've never checked it out in stores and from the pictures I've seen, it looks rather bumpy. Also, is it very soft and fragile? Is there any danger of the color rubbing off? I want to get a wallet in this leather but I'm afraid it might be easily damaged. Thanks for your help!

yes, it has texture --> bumpy

Yes, very soft, but not *that* fragile

No colour rubbing off, but I can't say that OTHER things won't transfer onto say white suhali....

No, suhali is fine as a wallet. It can take lotsa beating (except for the metallics.... you'll get streaks...)

I have it in gold metallic, the fab, and it is so heavy and pointy that I forget to wear it. It sure is purty.

I think it is a mix. The main leather is course grain but there is smooth leather on other parts like the handles.

Does the leather slouch and lose form? I haven't had the time to go to an LV shop but I've been drooling over the Le Radieux online.

I have a Suhali Le Confident and find that the leather is very durable. It has a texture to it yet it is still soft. It is a very luxurious leather.

To me, the texture is more visual. You can feel the grain, but I think "bumpy" overstates it a little. It's not bumpy-feeling like some "pebbled" leathers can be. It's very soft. I wouldn't call it fragile. Currently I only have 1 Suhali bag, but it seems like it has a lot of substance to me.

I don't know about the Le Radieux, but my Lockit has a little slouch. I bought it brand new from the store, it was not on display, and the slouch was there from the moment I took it out of the box. My SA said I should store the bag with stuffing in it so that the form stays stable, but I haven't had the bag long enough to know whether it can actually lose form or not. I don't mind the slouch because I think it conveys the difference in the leather from my slouch-less and more boxy epi Lockit. The bags with structured framing, like the Le Tal, probably don't have any slouch (I'm guessing).

Fantastic. This would be my first Suhali so I'm pretty excited! I'm getting it off eLUXURY and I didn't want to be disappointed - especially with the hefty price tag! Thank you for the quick reply!

^^You're welcome. Here's a photo that describes what I noted earlier, showing the slouch of the suhali Lockit PM versus no slouch in the epi Lockit. In the photo, the lighting makes the epi sides look like they might be dented inward, but in reality, the sides are smooth and upright.

Again, I am not familiar with the Le Rad, so I hope I haven't steered you wrong--hope you love it when you get it!
