Monogram Vernis Rosewood Avenue - how to clean?

my boss just returned from her honeymoon to hawaii. while she was there, she purchased the red monogram vernis rosewood avenue. she already has a stain on the natural cowhide handles and was wondering if there is any particular cleaner she should be using? thanks ladies

I think it's a vachetta issue rather than this particular bag (which I have and the vernis is easy to maintain). Here's a thread that's helpful:
