LV belt for dad Q?

hello again everyone :) im travelling next month to see my father and i wanted to take a little LV souvenir for him. i was thinking of a belt (monogram pouch belt 40) because it has the little case in the side. He always puts his cellphone on a case that he attaches to his belt. so instead an LV case would be perfect. now my question is.... how is this little case attached to the belt? can it be removed or is it stuck there? im thinking in case he wants to wear another belt if he will be able to still use the case. thanks a lt everyone :) and I hope any of u have pics :)

According to eLUXURY (which has the size 30) the pouch is removable!

Toile monogram with light brown stitching
Natural nubuck leather lining

Yes, the pouch is detachable from the belt. The belt actually comes in two widths 30 and 40. The maximum belt width that you can slip the pouch on to is 1.2" with the 30 and the 1.6" with the 40. If he wears a lot of dress pants or chino style pants, the 30 would be better suited because most brands don't make their belt loops wide enough for the 40 to fit in comfortably. The 40 is best for jeans.

My only concern is thickness of the pouch; I don't think that it is thick enough to hold a cellphone. To me, it looked like the pouch only expanded 0.5", which isn't enough for most cell phones.
