I originally wanted to get a wallet for my boyfriend as an anniversary gift, but I wanted his initials heat stamped inside. Anyway, an SA told me that cannot be done (in Canada), and that heat stamping can only be done for luggage tags.

I've seen the heat stamping thread and visited the LV's site on personalization, which prove that heat stamping is okay on wallets. So what should I do? Ask another SA?

Have anyone gotten heat stamping done at an LV in Canada?

Hot stamping in Canada is only available in the Toronto boutique. They will need to ship the item to Toronto and you'll need to wait for about 2 weeks. In your case, perhaps the SA meant that they cannot do the stamping for THAT SPECIFIC wallet in that SPECIFIC line/collection. Some leathers (or not) on some bags and accessories cannot be hot stamped. If this is the case, then another SA will tell you the same thing. So you'll need to buy another wallet.

I know it can be done from the Vancouver boutique, but I think they will only do luggage tags and agendas. As Cec said, they ship everything to TO. Because they have been making lots of mistakes on SLGs and bags, I think that they will no longer do the heatstamp on wallets and bags. There is a member on here who has had a luggage tag done in Vancouver but it took a few weeks.
