Epi Leather Speedy Question - will it get creases??

Hi Everyone.

I haven't gotten my speedy yet.. Still debating if i should stick with the speedy or go with the monty Bowling.

I'm worried if for some reason the speedy gets smashed, like in the car, or i'm walking on the street and fall on it, or someone sits on it (thinking worse case scenarios here heheh), will it get creases on it and be bent forever???

I have had my black epi speedy since 2001 and have yet to see a crease on it. But then, fortunately, I haven't experienced the worst case scenarios you mentioned

Hee hee - I was laughing when I read that! I've never fallen on a bag!!!

Well, I'm sure it'll be fine - I've heard that if they're not STORED correctly you might run into that problem so I've personally solved my worry about such things by getting that little Speedy Shaper Pillow on eBay....or www.speedyshaper.com. Plus you can also get those inserts for the bottom and sides and that will help her maintain her shape......unless....

I'm a big fan of the Speedy but I don't own an Epi one because of the "wrinkles" issue. Every Epi Speedy I've ever seen has those and honestly I know I wouldn't be comfortable with that. I used to want one in Mandarin but after seeing one with those creases, I quickly changed my mind.

I got a great deal on my older red Speedy 25 and I love her to death, but she has a crease on one side. I don't care much, if at all, because she's so cute and otherwise in perfect condition, but all of my bags were gently used when I bought them. I stuff her when I put her in the dustbag so she keeps her shape.

I have two epi speedies (one 25 in cannelle and a 30 in mandarin) and I'm so scared of this happening to them! I'm thinking that I'll be too cautious when I start using them regularly, and I don't really want that to happen...

My myrtille speedy has wrinkles near the zipper. I think it could be because I carry a lot and the weight just stretches the leather. It doesn't bother me so much because I "need" everything that I carry.
