Default Whose Galliera broke/needed repair?

Was yours made in USA or France? Just wondering whether those that were made in USA needed more help, or vice versa. Thanks for sharing!

There's plenty of topics discussing this. Why not search for them using the search function??

I know there's topics on USA versus France but I don't think there's one on the galliera bag specifically (correct me if I'm wrong, please). It seems like the galliera has had quite a bit of problems and I am wondering if the problems are associated with the manufacturing process of a certain country. If this is a redundant thread, I apologize.

There is no reason to be rude, She was only asking a question.

I wasn't being rude, maybe I got confused because there's been a lot of topics about this problem. But eh, whatever. Scratch my last post then. Now that I've thought about it, no one really specifically say where it was made from. But I don't think that matters. I'd be surprised if all the Gallieras that broke were made from the US only.

well in that case, hopefully someone would answer then. This may be a good reference to those future owners, as well.

Of all the galliera owners, I have only heard of 2 or 3 that had the broken rings. I think there is no guarantee whatever model you choose... we have only heard about the galliera because it is so popular. I believe I heard that the ones that broke were made in France. Mine was made in France (July 2008) and (knock on wood) it has been fine so far. I actually called LV boutique where I live to see if they have had any problems and they have had none so far. They assured me that it would be fixed if it did break, however.

As far as the black marks, I did start to get them and I used a white pencil eraser on it right away and it came off. However, I have since sprayed my vachetta with kiwi protect-all and have not gotten anymore black marks. It's only been a week since I sprayed so I am sure it will appear again, but before I sprayed protector on it I was erasing marks daily.

Thanks so much for your feedback! Glad you had success with the spray. I might be too chicken to spray my bag!
