I recently bought a vintage Speedy 35. It is in perfect condition for a late 70s/early 80s bag except for the fact it is missing two interior rivets/studs/grommets. Also, an exterior rivet was loose and I thought I was able to secure it and now that is missing as well. Does anybody know if LV can replace these and what the cost for this repair might be? TIA.

Lucky you! Yes, show pics. They should be able to fix. I'm guessing $50-$75, as long as there is no cracking at all of any of the canvas. If so, they won't repair unfortunately. If they refuse, I'd still get it repaired. If its in good shape, you have a treasure.

I'm not sure if I called the missing items the right name then as they are on the leather part of the handle and not on the canvas portion. Here are pics of the missing rivets and the bag (I'm actually missing four now as the interior rivet to the missing exterior rivet fell off into the bag) :

I'm sure they'll be able to replace it. Go to a boutique and ask :) keep us posted!

I've honestly never seen a rivet with that type of marking on it, nor that type of zipper. I'm afraid they may not replace these due to the condition of the bag, but it's worth a try. I just wouldn't get your hopes up. You might want to have one of the vintage experts do an authentication too, just to be sure.

Good news, I brought the bag in today to the closest LV boutique and they are going to try to replace the rivets in house, free of charge. They did check for cracks in the canvas, so another bonus is that the bag which is about 30-35 years old is still in great condition, at least for repairs. Thanks for everybody's help.
