hi! please help me. i have a damier papillon 26. I bought it year 2004 in the USA. date code of the bag is SD0084. my problem is i noticed the bag of my friend which she bought year 2005 and mine have different colors. hers was the color same as the damier neverfull now. but mine was lighter and had a brighter shade. does the damier did issue different shades in damier? and if what year? i am so bothered about it please help me. thank you

Yes, Damier canvas can look darker or lighter no matter what year

im not sure if it matters on the year. i have a damier pochette accessoires and a damier ribera MM that are both 2008 and they have very different colors. the pochette is a darker shade and was made in france and the ribera is a lighter shade made in spain. maybe the location of manufacturing makes a difference? im not sure. but i really prefer the lighter shade.

I had two damier bags, both made in France, 2009......they were two different colors......I asked my SA and she said they both just came off of different canvas reels, totally normal

When my DH and I were choosing my damier speedy, I had 3 to choose from. One was darker, softer canvas, and shinnier. The other two were lighter and more matte looking. So yes, they are different. I prefer the lighter as well.

This is true. My Damier Sophie canvas is lighter than my Trevi & Neverfull.

yep i have a mono alma and mono agenda and they are so different. my alma is much more bright and lighter and the agenda cover is much darker and looks dull next to my alma, i dont mind i like them both

Are you serious? Ugh...this is making my life harder..finally narrowed it down to the one she wants, and now there's variations of color and character of the same bag..great.
