I was just wondering how many owners here on tPF have had problems with their speedy handles peeling over time?

I have both mono and damier speedys -- no problems with the handles.

I own treated and Vachetta handled speedy's no problems to date!

I voted No because I have only 1 LV so far, the Azur Speedy 30. I would like to get the Damier Speedy but I'm afraid too becuase of all the peeling handle reports. I'm also falling in LVOE with the Trevi PM so I may opt for that instead of the Damier Speedy even though it cost way more.

Seriously, I was wondering to. I have 3 speedys and have had no problems with any of them. Granted I don't carry them all the time but still this seems very strange to me.

I have a Mono Speedy 30 (treated) and a Damier Ebony Speedy 30. The handles are perfect and I can't imagine them ever peeling. I have inspected them and the stitching and quality of the bag are both perfect.

I treated the handles with apple guard spray. Oops - did I misunderstand what was meant by treating the bag?
