I just purchased a pre loved Mono Speedy 35 and other than that old 'musty' odor, it is an absolutely beautiful bag in pristine condition.
This is what I did (also did this for my pre loved Speedy 30 which smelled horrible!)
-wiped the interior using a mild soap, blow dried dry
-put the bag outside in the fresh air for the afternoon
-filled bag with at least 15 bounce sheets and then blasted with blowdryer to 'activate' the sheets
-put a tiny container of coffee grounds mixed with cinamon and another container with baking soda in the bag and zipped closed (left overnight)
-in a spray bottle mix 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water (you may want to add more vinegar depending on the odor) and spray the interior. Then blow dry until dry, then febreeze interior and repeat blow dry. (repeat this process of spraying with the vinegar mix and febreeze until the odor has gone) I had to to this about 4 times!
Vinegar is a known odor neutralizer. It really works wonders. Neither the febreeze or vinegar/water solution will stain or damage the interior so no worries there!

The above process took the odor away completely! It only took two days thankfully as I was anxious to use my new beauty!

I bought a preloved epi speedy that had a slight thrifty smell.... so I put 2 Lush bath bombs in there (in their wrapping and in a plastic bag) and it took the smell away completely!!! I just sold it and the buyer was worried about a thrifty smell but I told her what I did and once she got it she couldn't believe what a difference a bath bomb made!

.....So just a tip!

hi everyone! i'm new in this site and find it very interesting to see all this info. i have a problem with my speedy as it smells of cigarette. i bought it from a friend's friend and didn't think it would have this smell - i had it professionally cleaned but the cigarette smell is still there. might try the baking soda, or the newspaper, or charcoal ... wish me luck, thanks for all the info!
