I've read an article (where I forgot but online) which somebody (she call herself as a LV expert) wrote that the LV monogram canvas never crack and if you see it, it is fake. But I sometimes see those canvas has some cracks on the eBay items and those bags look still authentic.
How the cracks were made? When your VL become old enough, is it cracked somehow? Thank you.

Thats not true... I have one crack on my speedy by the zipper and it was purchased in an LV Boutique so I know it is authentic. An SA told me it was from overstuffing it then zipping it up.

I wouldn't put too much into those "on-line expert". t they say is not really true, like: real LV canvas never cracks, canvas never fade, the LVs are never upside down (not true with some styles), the hardware never tarnished, etc, etc.
One so-called expert even have a website ad on her blog selling replicas. |

Thank you for your reply, NLVOEWITHLV and ratox.
So, I shouldn't put too many things into the bag. But it can be fixed? if you bring to LV store? or just the way it is. |

I'm sure that the LV craftmen can do many things. From replacing the hardware to the lining to the canvas itself. The only thing to consider is cost. Give the store a call and ask.

Canvas cracks due to being stored folded, age, abuse, dryness, exposure to intense heat, etc. |

Thank you for your comment. I'm storing Keepall 55 in a folding situation in the dust bag. It is large and I use it only for trip so just fold it as flat and put into the dust bag. Should I stop that way, shape as a bag and store ? Thank you!!
