i dont mind an EVEN patina...mine has a pretty light patina and i like it. it looks nice with the blue.

beautibabe~ this is a very good service to have a thread like this. I caved and got the azur speedy this year after being on the fence with regard to liking this bag w/ patina. The thing is I wear my bags lightly and for me it takes forever and a day to develop any kind of patina, lol. I actually prefer mono with a nice patina but azur I lean more towards a lighter patina, honey I think would be perfect.

I'm going to look on ebay for some pics to contribute to this thread. That watermarked/spotted azure speedy scared the #@$$% out of me!

Am I the only one here that hates the patina on LV's vachetta leather??? I am so irked by the darkening that I have sold off most of my monogram version. Though I'm excited about the Damier Azur series but I can't accept the idea of having the vachetta leather darkening again. So I've switched to the Damier Canvas collection. The only monogram canvas versions that I like are its wallets where they use processed leather as their linings. BTW, all your Azurs are gorgeous in their own way.

I think it will look nice with patina provided you look after the vanchetta and try not to get it all dark and gross!
Guess that explains why I don't have any mono/bags with vanchetta hmm

The handles on my monogram speedy 30 look like the ones shown in this auction below....DIRTY. I have the Azure speedy 30 but have only recently used it once (I bought it last October 2007 and used it for the first time in June 2008) because I am afraid to dirty the handles like my mongogram one. Looking at all the photos of other ppl's azure speedies, it doesnt look so bad. But then again, those are nicely patina'd and not patina with dirt like my monogram. I am still going to use the azure speedy sparingly because I am still afraid to get it dirty. I think I will have to buy the ebony damier speedy that way I won't be afraid to use it.
