In the beginning I was so afraid to buy anything in Azur because I thought the patina would look horrible. I purchased a Saleya PM from ebay (used but in like new condition) and to tell the truth I actually like Azur with patina now. It just looks broken in...which seems to give the bag a very nice look. Funny how our perceptions change. Your bag looks great!!
Maybe when my Saleya gets to the point where it's dark brown I wont be so crazy about it...lol |

It looks good with patina but only when the leather has darkened evenly. It still looks best fresh and new.

Thanks for posting beautibabe! These pics were exactly what I needed. I need a keepall & you've convinced me to get an Azur...I really like the light honey patina against the pattern & it may not look half-bad when it gets more golden.

Wow, as if you are reading my mind... I have been wanting the Speedy Azur 25 for such a long time (since it first came out). But I am also afraid of the patina... because I don't baby my bag too well. (That's why I opted to buy the neo cabby mm in black denim and I'm loving it!) So thank you sooooooooo much for sharing these pictures!
One quick question, I am wondering how long has the owner of the bag in your 4th set (the one posted at 5.22pm) been using hers? I think I can still handle that level of patina but if it gets alot darker than that... I may not love it anymore... still unsure if I'll buy it or not. Maybe if I know someone who's going to Europe I will get it. The price in the US is too crazy right now IMO. |

I just don't think pictures do Azur justice. It's so much prettier in real life. I have the Azur Speedy 30 and Azur is becoming my favorite. I love the mono, but sometimes I just look at the Azur and think how gorgeous it is. I inquired today on the LV web site about the Azur Neverfull and they told me it wasn't coming out until 2009! That means I may have to go for the Saleya MM or GM. I would like an Azur shoulder bag as well as the Speedy.

Thanks for the photos, I still prefer it to be either very light or a slight honey colour to it. I personally just don't think Azur looks good with a darker patina, even if it is even :(

Thanks for your pixs! Looks great with patina but definitely not dirty fugly handles. Mine is slightly darken now and I love it still. Looks more seasoned rather than those Azur with pale white handles..

Thank you for posting these! I've been nervous about all the vachetta but the different patina looks actually look better than I thought! I think it actually gives the bag even more character. Thanks again!

I'll post more when/if I find more.Coachfanatic - The Azur looks amazing to me & it is jaw-dropping in real life. I'm very torn between it & the Damier... |

hazelnuss - You're welcome for the pictures! I'm glad they're helpful to you
I can sympathize with your concerns. Light/honey patina I can handle, but any darker than that I fear that I will lose my love for the Azur. I opted for the Damier ebene because it's low maintenance, classic & a year-round type of bag instead of the Azur, even though it is gorgeous. I'm still debating whether or not to make an exchange. The date code for the 4th set of photos you're asking about is "SP1027", so I would guess the owner had it for about a year. Don't forget that direct exposure to the sun can accelerate the patina process - in other words, if you bring the Azur with you for a tan, the Azur will tan too! |

Thanks for posting those pics! I can breath a sigh of relief, the Azur actually looks great with the patina! My Speedy Azur still has a very light patina to it, and I haven't used it that much for fear of it going darker. Now I've seen those pics, I think I'm going to take her out more often.
