Question Cut My LV. No Option, Help!
Hey Everyone,

I'm very new to this forum!

I need serious help. I was currently at the airport with my locked Speedy 40 ready to check in, not realizing i've not only left my passport in this bag. I also left my key at home!!

So i had to sadly cut the leather to open up my bag.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to get it replaced? And or is it worth getting replaced??

Thanks guys!

o m g.... you poor thing!

If it's the vachetta part that you had cut, they might be able to replace it?
Bring it to your local LV and they might give you a solution!

Thanks Everyone.
Sorry Addy - It's the little side flap where many place their locks on. I've locked up my bag and had to cut that little flap

Oh! That piece of leather is probably between $25-45 USD.......I know a leather tab for a pochette accessories was either $16 or $20 so my guess is $25-45 for your tab because it is a smidge bigger.

It is the part that attaches to the zipper or the bag?

Hopefully, it is the zipper side because that is easy to replace........if it is the flap that is actually ATTACHED to the bag, then that is a whole new problem because they will have to sort of take apart that section of the bag to "reinstall" the tab.

Yup, the top leather leaf tab is the easier of the two to replace. Call/bring in your Speedy and they can assess it and give you a repair cost. It doesn't look like a major problem, but you will not see your Speedy for about 8 weeks while it is getting repaired.

I would think this should be an easy enough repair.

Thanks for your replies everyone.
Unfortunatly It's actually the leather tab that's attached to the bag, i didn't think before i cut it! and when i come to think about it, cutting the zipper would've been such a better option!

Barlow - I will attach an image once i get home!

OUCH!@! Sorry to hear that. It will be more expensive as it is attached to the bag as Kristy stated.

I would say its worth getting replaced depending on the condition of your bag.
