So for us in the US, assuming use of Global Express Guaranteed (USPS/FedEx), estimated total costs are:

New red rubber sole: $177 ($95 shipping to / $25 for sole / $57 shipping back)
New red leather sole: $284 ($95 shipping to / $132 for sole / $57 shipping back)
New heel: $222 ($95 shipping to / $70 for heel / $57 shipping back)

Not too bad, depending on the shoe. It's certainly less than buying a whole new pair!

hm i love the look of the soles, but i'm not willing to ship my loubies halfway around the world and WAIT for them to come back :( i wish they'd just send the soles so i can get my cobbler to do it and only be away from my shoes for a few days :(

^^^ unfortunately people would have their fakes resoled with them.

i do wish they had a US agent to do this though – like the Leather Spa.

I didn't even think of that!
I was thinking it would have been a good idea to buy some rubber soles as gifts for RAOK

I can barely deal with my shoes being at the cobbler two days. Who knows how long it would take to get to Paris, fixed, and back from Paris. Maybe the US stores will get this next.

$300 for me to walk on soles to have to send them back to spend 300 more?! Um no. Just my opinion though.

I think for the heel I would think about it though.

Butterfly- soles would be a good gift! The ones from the Bay of course.

Maybe it's not worth shipping shoes there from outside the country - or continent! - unless you need drastic repairs like changing a heel or the whole sole. You can stop by on your next trip to Paris for the rubber soles though. Not a bad idea, is it?

I can't see the pictures either, am quite curious how the official half soles look like. I have tried to visit this cobbler once, unfortunately they were closed during weekends.

Edit: Just found the photo in the cobbler thread, the soles look awesome!!

WOW. Now for a new heel made in the same material as your shoe? Yes, that could be worth it.

But for the red rubber sole or red leather sole? I don't know. It costs $30 to get a red rubber sole put on here in the US. I really can't see it being worth $140 extra just for the little Louboutin logo. I REALLY love that idea and think it's so cute, but $140 is money that could go towards a new pair of CLs!
