Default weight of linea pelle vs rebecca minkoff
Not sure how many of you have rebecca minkoff bags, but I was wondering if linea pelle are just as heavy or lighter? I've never seen / felt a linea pelle bag IRL, but from all your beautiful pics I'm tempted. Thanks.

I only have 3 Linea Pelle bags, and I feel they are generally heavier than RM bags due to thicker zipper tracks and hardware. However LP has the softest leather and does not deform even when I pack them tightly in my suitcase without stuffings.

As with any brand, it depends upon the style of the bag.

Overall, LPs are actually fairly light in weight...despite their zippers. I weighed seven of my full-sized LP bags and five of them were as light or lighter than my RM Night Blue Nikki (1 lb 14.5 oz). None of them were as heavy as my RM Forest Green Henri (with strap) (2 lb 12 oz). LP Dylans tend to be light (less than 2 lbs); my Angie and Piper Weekender are heavier.

Hope that helps.

i think the my LP is lighter than my RMs. but i think the straps are a factor as well. since my LP Double handle dylan has a longer strap, so it feels more comfortable than my RM MAM.

For reference, my LP bags are:

1. Samantha
2. Double Zip Croco Bag
3. Patchwork Speedy

I LOVE the samantha but oh boy she's so HEAVY and is a handheld only.

I see most people said RM is heavier than LP, so I thought it really depends on what LP styles.

LP is all soft leather, right? So it should be lighter than RM. I ordered my first LP piece, so I'll find out soon!

Yes, all of my 3 LPs are soft leathers, but thick, but I personally do not like the rough look of unfinished edges, so the bags I have chosen are more "finished" so to speak and I'm happy with them. I hope you will like your first LP bag, please share with us!

LPs are buttery soft...I think you'll be pleased, TXgirlie.
