Ooooh... getting Sis on the Chicago stores now...
Yeah, the Denver couture section is actually out of LP's league. It's Missoni and Prada and such. Stuff you can't even afford at TJ Maxx prices! But fun to try on. Their online site just launched a "couture" section, too, but it's mostly the usual stuff they have (BCBG Girls, etc.) |

This is kind of off topic, but we have outlets here in Florida that are called, "Beall's", and the other day I saw $400 Adrienne Vittadini bags there for $150. Now, this store carries $40 bags marked down to $8.99, so I was really really shocked. Maybe some of these outlet stores are taking on new designers because of the economy. Who knows?

I never go to TJ max but there isn't one within thirty miles of me. I don't think, there's one within an hour. I never saw the point of going, I guess I do now. I knew they had some brands, mostly out of season stuff but I thought it would be mostly like guess stuff or something....not designer designer (not that guess is bad, I"m thinking about the 80s and early 90s when guess was a big deal and I would look for it in stores like that but guess is still cheaper usually than LP)

LP belts at my Marshalls, but no bags. I saw a lot of LP bags at Neiman Marcus Last Call last month. What shocked me was to see two viola bags! Of course, I was just window shopping at the time, figures....and they still had a lot of the woven styles that are just gorgeous!

hi! i'm normally in the RM forum but ever since i bought a lovely marooon colored belt from lp i've been eyeing the bags lately....
i found what i think is a dylan folding clutch (w/ the handle, not the zipper) in persimmon and i really love this orange-y color and the leather was so soft! it was going for $130 and i wonder if that's a good deal? it seems to retail for $240 but i'm not familiar w/ lp bags and this looked great quality, atho perhaps it's a less popular style or color?? what do you all think? i also saw another light brown colored dylan small shoulder bag but it looked a bit worn in and i wasn't so fond of the shoulder strap. |

I always see lots of great belts from LP at TJ's for less than $20. I try to snag as many as I can because I know they retail for $150 and up - they're always featured in fashion magazine spreads. I've never seen LP bags (so far).

So, is $199 a good price for the fringe bag that the OP posted then? Might have to check out the TJM's here if it is.

I found a black one at my TJ's last friday - I went ahead and got her (this is my first LP) and I just love this bag - I have gotten so many compliments on her already. Not sure if the $199 was a good deal or not, but I think it retailed for $425 originally?

I just snagged one a week or so ago from our local TJ's. I saw it tucked behind a bunch of other bags and thought it looked nice and by the time I had dug it out it was love
. Came with it's tags and dustbag and these are still selling for full price at Bloomies http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=346872&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results I thought it was a great deal and have been carrying it pretty much non-stop ever since. This was my first LP and I already have another on the way, lol. |

Tatertot - I am in the same boat as you - I have been carrying mine for 5 days now - which for me is rare! I just love how smooshy the leather is and it has such a cool personality! Glad we both got great deals on a bag we love!

I went to the tjmax in chicago State St and saw a permisson (sp ?) dylan tote for $229 and another dylan (forgot the exact name but it was smaller) for $199 in the permisson color. I also saw a Janis in an off white (coconut?) and it had a longer strap and no fringes. !!

Jen, was the Dylan the bigger one with the 3 pockets, or the smaller one with the zippers around the side?
Thanks! Jennifer |
