Not clear grey, or a blue-grey, more an Antique grey, darker and less tan than the Janis grey, lighter than Iron...... sorry, I owe comparative photos.
It is true smokey color, very neutral ~1/2 way between cool and warm.

Thanks, listing ended & did not buy, as the photos were mixed, some looked really brown. And I do NOTHING brown.

BTW.. did find someone here to make a strap. He told me to buy a BLACK bag, as easier to match the leather. $200 to make a strap and take bag apart to attach tabs & rings. I think I'll pass. IMO, this fella just really did not want to mess w/ "some woman and her handbag".
