I bought 2 white holiday Dylan bags for great prices this past holiday. One is the bowler shape, the other is more of a tote (I think they were called patchwork?). I'm thinking of dyeing them with Tarrago dyes. I've been wanting a turquoise bag and missed out on the holiday ones, so I'm thinking of dyeing one turquoise (I'd have gotten a croc in turquoise, but I don't like the croc texture). Not sure of the other one...any ideas? I just know I'd be neurotic about getting the white dirty. I bought them cheap to dye one day.

You won't get encouragement from me.
I think painting lush washed leather is criminal. |

I hear ya :( I'm so torn. I hear that the dye won't affect the texture, and some say it does. Sigh. Maybe I'll just sell 'em if the white stresses me out too much. I wear a lot of dark jeans which would transfer for sure!

I would give Ebay a shot first. I've seen a few TPFers dye their RM bags and they came out nice but those are very different leathers. Also if you dye your bag yourself, do you need to be more concerned of the color possibly rubbing off into your clothes? Just something I'd ask around about first.
