I'd say your marks were from the cream, because creams are not meant for washed leathers. Even water-based TLC lotion marks LP.
Regular rain and stain sprays are OK, but test your AG spray on the swatch.
Danielle is a geranium pink with a smoother surface, BCA is a magenta and more matte. You are good to your bags, so I wouldn't worry about Post 57 (that's a 911). Just follow the LP's simple pinch & scrape with fingernail for small spots, and hand rub small scrapes (from nails, keys etc) out .Your skin oil and those naturally in the bag come to the surface, and are all the conditioning you need, really. Mine get a massage with clean hands before slipping into their sleeping bags. Everyday wear will show marks but they disappear with this small beauty trick. Stubborn marks take a regular eraser. It's easier to maintain LP than any other bags I know, thanks to the inherent leather quality.
I hope you love your new LP ! They are embossed with your initials !
Thanks so much for your help! Ok, so they'll send me a swatch then? That's good, I can test it. I definitely will not use the cream but would like to spray the bag so it has some protection and it is what I happen to have in the house. I'm getting the BCA and...maybe the matching wallet.

I went back to reread this post and be sure I had your instructions down when I spotted this. I don't know how I missed it the first read but my gosh you're right about the initials! It must have been meant to be. I'll post pics when I get the bag.

I just received my dylan long speedy in black from LP and I just discovered there are 2 whitish spots on the purse (one near the zipper and other on the back side)...not sure if it was scratched or something else. Anyone know how to get rid of these spots? TIA!

Although TLC is water-based, it can splotch LP leather even if it is shaken hard first, and applied very evenly.Use at your own risk.

Jenni, you have a good memory. It's not a dream

siouxie, look for the alcoholic sugar spill posts...vanilla might stain a little and whatever you do - if you see red color coming off - stop !
I didnt see this post last month - thanks for the info. I did notice the color starting to really lighten so I stopped. It really isn't noticeable because of how the leather smooshes and it's so thick but I know where it is.

Clearly, I need to spray it with the wilson's spray.

thanks again!!

I think you returned this bag but did you try simply rubbing the spots out with fingertips ?

hi all, i've just purchased my first LP- the black BCA tote and i'm in love! I've read through the entire thread and i'm curious does the black color rub off on your clothing at all?
im also debating about spraying with wilsons- i guess its better to be safe incase of a spill?

Hiya Cos When you read through the thread, you saw where I said I don't think the dark colors need Wilson's, but it's fine if it makes you feel better about rainy days. My untreated bags have endured spots of various natures, and always clean up perfectly.
Of all my LPs, including Black, I've NEVER had a color rub-off. This is because LPs are washed after construction ~ there is no residual dye t
o mess you up! (also why you didn't find it mentioned here)
*Remember to keep your Lovely Purse in her dark dustbag whenever it's not in use. Some colors will fade if left in bright sun.

to LP !!!
Your BCA tote was a great first choice ! LP Black is outstanding

I don't think this has been asked, do the bracelets need to be treated? I know they're small but I'd hate to have water spots on them. Thanks! :)
