Thank you, Stormy.. the spot dry cleaning does work well, dependent upon the lining. Also helps remove any odor from the fabric.

Stormy, have you used the Wilson's TLC Leather Cleaner Wipes for touching up/cleaning? If so, is it worth the purchase?

Yes and No
I used one once and it left horrible discolored dark streaks on my bag.
~~~ not a good shortcut. Damp cloth works better for touch ups.
Beware of all in one products. They contain conditioners that are incompatible with LP leather.
Story Heart, I was reading your post on the stiff handles of some Linea Pelle bags, you mentioned the holiday Dylan. Well, I just received a black zip tote and it has incrediably stiff handles. Are all zip totes like this, or did I just get one from a small batch made like this etc? I have a dylan tote and the handles are much softer, which I prefer.
I have no idea if all the black have stiff handles, or if some were made with the softer pvc tubing, sorry. Give Dani a call and ask her to look into it. She'll probably have to go check a few and get back to you.
Did you find my solution ? I have replaced the pvc support with soft rope on several bags, because I agree that softer straps are more comfortable to wear and carry. About 1/2 of my LPs in the past year had the hard handles (smoke, amethyst, lime, fuchsia, and black). The others were fine.
I spoke with Dani, she said that last season's Dylan Zips had the hard handles. She said because of some complaints, this seasons handles are softer. I don't trust myself to try and fix the handles myself, esp. since I don't have a sewing machine. I will try to find some place that would do it, but I think it may be hard to find one.
Oli, please read post #155
It cannot be done on a sewing machine.
I was one who spent time with Dani discussing this issue, so am grateful they listen to us.
*It was all the handled bags, not just zip totes with hard handles.
Glad we'll be safe with the new Dylans and don't have to avoid Hibiscus, Parrot and Azure
Hi, and welcome !
If your bag is brand new, just do a quick spray rain/stain protector. For the works, pick up a LeatherMagic kit for aniline leather. If your bag is already soiled, start with cleaning, then condition & protect.
What is your favorite spray for LP? I am also awaiting delivery of my first LP, same bag as above (Dylan Zip in scotch), and want to be prepared.
I LeatherMagic brand because they offer the only custom made products for naked ~ LP~ leather. I have personally tested the line after much searching and am deeply impressed. Just the conditioner saved one of my bags in a downpour! Here's how to find them:
^ the total package but you can get a kit without UV, or the mini
Hey ladies!
Last week I received a persimmon Mini Speedy (with long strap) - and I absolutely love her! I've read through almost this whole thread to figure out what is my best course of action for protecting her. I am thinking I will try the Wilson's TLC leather protectant spray, as that seems to be pretty popular. My main concern for this bag is denim transfer, as I have recently had this problem with my grey Treesje Marley. Will Wilson's protect this from happening? Also, is one coat all you need to apply? Thank you all so much, and I'm sorry if this is a repeat question! I was up late last night scouring this thread for information, and I may have missed something.
I ended up using KIWI Protect All over the wilsons because the wilsons didn't cut it. I did 3 coats.
